“I’d rather be a work in progress, than do no work at all.”

- Avni, The Indian Counselor

Avni Panchal, LCSW

In 2005, I chose psychology over the expected "safe" path in medicine or engineering. That first class sparked nearly two decades immersed in mental health as a social worker, therapist, trainer, lecturer, coach, and consultant. What I've learned:

When you trust yourself, others will too.

I grew up between worlds, balancing family expectations with my drive to achieve. My turning point came when I realized being split between identities was costing me my voice and peace. I began unlearning scripts that told me to be small and agreeable. I learned to set boundaries that honored both my culture and my truth.

As a South Asian immigrant and woman, I understand the unique pressures of balancing tradition, ambition, and identity. I know that healing comes when we stop performing for the world and start tuning into our inner voice.

Today, I coach South Asians and multicultural professionals to step into their truth, build healthier relationships, and live from grounded confidence. Together, we release old narratives, build self-trust, and create a life that fits, without apology.

This is not about rejecting your culture. It's about honoring it while reclaiming your voice within it. It's about being at home in yourself, everywhere you go.

Let’s Begin

This is your space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with who you truly are, not who you were told to be. If you’re ready to invest in your growth, I’m here to support you. Let’s create a life that feels true to you; one decision at a time.
